As Head of Maths, you will lead a team of dedicated professionals and drive the delivery of a rich, innovative curriculum that challenges, inspires, and supports every learner from KS3 to KS4. Your Impact Will Include:

  • Leading curriculum development, quality teaching, and high achievement across the Maths department
  • Line managing and developing staff to create a culture of continuous improvement and ambition
  • Using data insightfully to raise standards and ensure targeted, effective intervention
  • Embedding high standards of behaviour for learning and a love of Mathematics
  • Supporting strategic planning and contributing to the wider school vision
  • Representing Maths with pride at open evenings, community events, and partnership forums


Who We’re Looking For:

You are a dynamic and forward-thinking practitioner with:

  • QTS and a strong academic background in Maths
  • A proven track record of excellent outcomes at KS4 (and ideally KS5)
  • Experience in leading or significantly contributing to a successful department
  • Passion for subject innovation, inclusive education, and empowering young people
  • The ability to inspire staff and students through strategic leadership, high expectations, and clear vision


Bonus: Experience with curriculum development and data-led intervention strategies is highly desirable.
